Our U12 camogie girls were recently successful in their application to the Caman to Croker initiative. We were one of 48 clubs chosen to play in Croke Park on April 6th. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for our girls and they were all very excited. They had a very early start, meeting in the pitch at 7.30am to hit the road to Croker!!
It started with a guided tour of Croke Park and the museum, followed by three matches:

St. Martins -v- Rathluirc, Charville, Co. Cork ( 1-0 to no score to St Martins)
St. Martins -v- Clarinbridge, Co. Galway  (0-1 to no score to St Martins)
St. Martins -v- Kilmacud, Dublin (2-0 to no score to Kilmacud)

The day finished with the usual trip to McDonalds and a quiet bus journey home (not).

While an early start and a busy day, the girls all thoroughly enjoyed it.

Getting to play in Croke Park is not an everyday event.
The following girls played:
Aisling Alouf
Claire Barrett
Niamh Coleman
Aoife Dempsey
Chloe Doyle
Fiona Esmonde
April Moran
Caitlyn Murphy
Ciara O'Connor
Amy O'Leary
Orlagh Parle
Hannah Quirke
Gemma Ryan
Katie Sinnott
Clodagh Walsh
Clodagh Wilson
Lets hope this wont be the last time the girls get to play on The Holy Ground!! What a great start to the season.
