In hurling the boys took on Faythe Harriers on Monday last and both teams had very good games against very strong Harriers sides, managing to come out on top on this occasion.
The first round of the hurling league will be a home fixture next week against Glynn Barntown.

Well done to both Murrintown NS boys and Piercestown NS girls on reaching their respective finals in the Mini 7s competitions. Having earlier seen off Wexford CBS the boys had to battle hard to overcome Horeswood in the Football, while the girls enjoyed a very strong 4-7 to 1-1 win over Rathnure in the camogie semi-final.
Both will be looking to book finals in the other code this week - so the very best of luck to them all.
