Well done to the St. Martins ladies football team who had a great win in the Junior A Co. Final
against  the Shelmaliers on Sunday afternoon in killurin on a scoreline of 1.11 to 1.6.

On Tuesday the U12 boys met our great rivals from Gorey in Div 1 hurling.
Both teams came out victorious with the B team winning by 5-6 to 4-0, keeping their excellent season to date intact, while the A team played a brilliant match, winning by 6-5 to 4-6 despite conceeding 3 soft goals early on to a very strong Naomh Eanna side.
This was a great night for the U12 boys who now have just one round of Div 1 football left (away v Gusserane on Wed) and one round of hurling left away to Craanford next Tues.

Our minor footballers travelled to Taghmon on Wednesday last to play a combined Taghmon - Adamstown side.
St. Martin's started very well and led by 0-7 to 0-1 with a little over 20 minutes played. However, just before half time, a penalty goal and two points brought Taghmon - Adamstown back into the game.
The second half saw our opponents push on to build on a number of goals and finish on a scoreline of 5-7 to 0-10. As may be read, the concession of four second half goals was a major set back - however, St. Martin's demonstrated good commitment and endeavour right to the end.
Our next game is football against Starlights on Tuesday evening, in Piercestown.

The under 14 boys played their football quarter against the Shelmaliers last week and had a very convincing win on a scoreline of 1.20 to 0.3.
They had a good run out on Saturday morning against the Kildare under 14 hurling development squad.
Hard luck to a very young under 21 squad who lost to Oulart in the co. final last Thursday. To make the final with half of the starting team being minor (and some of them still minor next year) was a fantastic achievement and we look forward to great days ahead.
Our senior team were beaten by St. Anne's on Saturday but our juniors had another fine win on Saturday evening also against St. Anne's.
The cub day will take place on Sunday the 25th August in conjunction with the Tony Boggan tournament.  Full details next week. Mark it in your diaries.
