Our minors continued with the Divisional Minor League on Wednesday evening last, with a hurling game versus Glynn Barntown.

The game was played on a windy evening in Piercestown. St Martin's had a narrow half time lead, with a scoreline of 1-5 to 1-3. However, the wind advantage in the second half proved a very significant assistance to St Martin's, as our minors finished with a score line of 3-19 to 3-5. The game exhibited some excellent skills  and well taken goals from both sides.

There are no more games scheduled from now until after the Leaving Certificate examinations conclude, when we are scheduled to play hurling against Naomh Eanna on June 26th in Piercestown, and Bann Gaels away on July 3rd. Our next football game will is scheduled for July 10th, away to Fethard.

Congratulations to all our minor county players, in both football and hurling, on the recent successes in the Leinster Minor Championships, and best wishes to all as the county minor championship develops.

Congratulations to our senior hurlers who had a great win on Saturday last in bellefield against cloughbawn.
The lads will be playing again this weekend against Rathnure.  Check with selectors for time and venue as
We believe this match has been changed from Friday to Sunday..

Hard luck to the under 14 girls who were beaten in the feile final after extra time on bank holiday Monday.
Well done to our under 16 camogie girls who went to Dublin on the bank holiday Monday to play in a tournament
run by ballyboden st. endas.. The girls only had fifteen players travelling and had to play five matches, including
extra time in the semi final and came home with the cup. What a fantastic achievement.  The boys under 15 team played
on the same day and made it to the final only to be beaten by the host club.
There will be several fund raisers happening in the coming weeks for the boys feile team starting with a youth club
disco in Murrintown this Friday the 17 th may for secondary school students from 8 till 11.
