Congratulations to Lauren Carthy, Sarah O'Connor and Chloe Fox who were on the wexford under 16 camogie team that beat Down in the first round of the championship last Sunday. Lauren is the team captain.  They play Dublin this weekend in the second round.
Congratulations to Deirdre Colfer who won the Leinster poc fada last Saturday and well done to Tara Doyle who came fourth in the underage section.

A busy few days on the football field for the U12 boys. In the latest round of Div 1 the boys won one game and lost the other to the Starlights in Bellefield, while on Friday night in Kilmore we had two teams taking part in the Sean Kehoe Tournament. Our older U12s were beaten by a point by St Fintan's and bounced back with a win over St Anne's. The U11s produced some excellent football in defeating Kilmore and drawing with Shelmaliers u12s. The Finals are scheduled for Sun14th July.

Our minors resumed championship games after the break for exams. We played a Naomh Eanna side in hurling on Wednesday last, in Piercestown. St. Martins started against the wind and led by 0-12 to 0-6 at half time. The second half started with some faster play by St. Martins and our team won the game on a 2-25 to 0-9 scoreline.
Our next game is hurling in Cranford on Wednesday evening, July 3rd.
Please note that our next football game, away to Fethard, has been rescheduled to Thursday, July 11th."

Players have prepared well the last few weeks with practice matches v O Loughlins, Camross of Laois and De la Salle in Waterford. With a panel of 23 it was very important that all the panel got plenty of game time to sharpen up for the challenge ahead.
The lads have been working hard on their skills and teamwork so hopefully they will give a good account of themselves in the Feile and we all wish them the best of luck on their endeavours in Limerick.
