2 great wins for the Club

Monday turned out to be a great night for the Club on the playing field! Our ladies' intermediate football team got their first win in the championship with a great performance and a 4 point win over Clongeen. We must wish a speedy recovery to Aine Hayes who suffered a neck injury and was brought in to hospital after the match to be checked out but we hope to see her back on the field very soon. We understand however that her injury turned out to be a bad sprain and nothing more serious, thankfully. The ladies next championship match is on July 15th against Gusserane.

Meanwhile, in Oulart, our under 21 hurlers put in a powerful performance to beat the home team in the replay of the county quarter final. After all the excitement of the first game, 2 months ago in Pierecestown, this was a much more serene display as we dominated from about the 10th minute on and won by 4-17 to 0-12. You can find a full blow-by-blow account of this match on the Club's Twitter feed @StMartinsGAA and all friends of the Club are encouraged to follow us on Twitter for real time news and information from around the Club.
