Friday 28th saw a fantastic Club reunion and awards night in the Talbot Hotel. Prizes were presented by Darragh Ó Sé who proved to be a highly entertaining speaker and the large crowd there remained dancing into the wee small hours. Many thanks also to Shanks Whelan who presented our juniors with their medals.

As the clocks have gone forward all underage teams are being reintroduced to the great grassy outdoors. Under 8 boys will be on the pitch at 7pm sharp on Wednesday, bring helmets and hurleys.

The U12 boys hurling teams faced a stiff challenge on Sunday morning from two very good O'Loughlins teams, who were visiting on their way to the Wexford v Kilkenny National League Q Final.
Both games ended in victories for our lads with a very high standard of hurling being played despite the inevitably soft pitches. Training now resumes at 7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer.

Also visiting the Club was The Village, James Stephens, who played our juvenile hurlers in a high class and tough game after the disappointment of Wexford Park.

Under 14 camogie started this week with the A team beating Rathnure 5-3 to 3-0 and the B team getting past St. James on a scoreline of 3-1 to 1-2. The girls have put in a great effort since training resumed and these results were due reward for their hard work.

The Club Lotto stands at €13,800 and there was no outright Match 4 winner on the lucky numbers of 2, 3, 18 and 27 on Sunday 23rd. However there were 2 match 3 winners, each of which win €50. The big prize is there to be won and anyone wishing to sign up to the Lotto can do so by contacting any Committee member.
