A full bus set off from the Club at 7.30am on Sunday morning as our under 12 and under 16 Boys made the trip to Cork to play Castleyons in hurling. The home side showed us tremendous hospitality off the pitch and great sportsmanship on the pitch where our under 12 lads kept up their good start to the season with a strong workmanlike win.

The under 16s had a tough, physical encounter and started strongly with a flurry of scores from our lads leading to a halftime lead of 1-9 to 0-1.  The second half continued in the same vein as St. Martins continued to score well and finished with some outstanding points. The final score in Cork was St Martins 1.19 Castlelyons 0-2.

All boys played their part in 2 fine contests before we headed off to Parc  Ui Rinn for Wexford v Cork in the final round of the National League. The boys all enjoyed Wexford's fine performance and look forward to cheering them on again versus Kilkenny.

Meanwhile, our under 14 boys took part in the Féile football Blitz in Hollymount where after a loss to Glynn the boys recovered to beat Sarsfields and qualify for the semi-finals. However a strong Gorey team beat them at that stage. Nonetheless our boys showed great skill and character so well done to all.

Under 8 training continues again this week in the hall and thanks to the large number of adults for attending the "parent information night". A copy of the presentation "Go Games" and the "Home Practice Sheet" is available on request.  Under 10 boys will train again on Saturday at 7pm under floodlights and will move out onto the green green grasses of home as soon as the clocks go forward.

The clock is ticking on membership  dues. All monies should be paid by the end of March otherwise the "no pay no play" rule will apply.

Finally, all the glamour and style will be on display on Friday 28th March when the Club has its awards night and reunion in the Talbot Hotel. A great night is expected and we all look forward to looking back on a great year and to meeting friends old and new.
