The under 12 camogie team played the first of their mini-league games losing out to a physically stronger Rathnure side but to their credit the girls showed great determination and never gave up.  For the under 16 girls it’s two wins on the trot after beating st. Ibar’s by  5-9 to 2-8. Both teams played top-class camogie and it was nip and tuck all the way through with our girls only pulling away in the closing 10 minutes. Our intermediate team also had a great win against the same opposition on Sunday 11th by 0-9 to 0-5.

Saturday May 24th will see our very novel fundraiser, at 7pm in the Club. The St. Martin’s “pop-up boutique” will be an evening of retail therapy, hair and make-up tips and it costs just €5 admission which includes a complimentary glass of wine. Items of clothing, bags, shoes and costume jewellery can still be donated if in good condition, cleaned and ready to sell, just contact Avril on 087.1325610 for more details.

Friday night proved a special one for the Club as we bounced back from the disappointment of defeat to Rathnure five days earlier by beating Oulart The Ballagh by 0-24 to 0-18. The win is a great confidence boost for the team, especially the younger players, and we look forward with excitement to the rest of the season.

The Club Lotto gets bigger with every passing week and now stands at €15,200. Last week’s draw had one Match 3 winner, well done Noeleen Lambert, and the numbers drawn were 10, 21, 22 and 27. Anyone wishing to sign up to the Lotto can do so by contacting any committee member.

Finally, as exam season draws near, we’d like to wish all our boys and girls the very best in the coming weeks.
