St. Martin's is rightly proud of the fantastic underage coaching structures we have and of the large number of volunteer coaches who come down to the field, night after night, to teach the key skills of hurling and football to our young boys and girls. In 2014 we want to build on that and to invest further in our coaches' education by providing a number of learning sessions with well-known coaches from a range of different sporting backgrounds over the coming months.

We're starting with a session on Goalkeeping with Damien Fitzhenry, widely regarded as Wexford's best-ever goalkeeper. He was a member of the Wexford senior hurling team from 1993 to 2010 and was instrumental in Wexford's drive to glory in 1996. Of course, long before the "Nash rule" was discussed at Congress, Damien was a skilled scorer of goals also!

This coaching session will take place on Friday 21st March at 7pm and we'd hope that most of our underage coaches will be able to attend.
